The oil is traditionally rubbed on skin to treat inflamed lesions and bruises and to relieve itching. It is also widely used in perfumes and cosmetics and in oral care products such as toothpaste and mouthwash. 

Thyme Red Essential Oil is Thymus zygis gracilis plant. The oil is extracted from wildcrafting harvest of leaves and flowers.

Its rich, dark oil boasts a spicy aroma that adds depth as a middle note to perfumes. With potent antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, this oil is highly prized for its high phenol content. It retains all of its natural benefits, making it a favorite for use in aromatherapy and diffusers (diluted, of course).

However, its powerful ingredients require caution and proper dilution when used as a muscle and cold rub.

 Not recommended for diffusion in pet homes, this oil is perfect for steaming during colds and as a room mist during the flu season. Its main constituent, thymol, is a powerful antiseptic that combats infections and congestion.
